1. Government-sponsored
China International SME Fair (CISMEF) was approved by the State Council and co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, China Banking Regulatory Commission and the People's Government of Guangdong Province. The holding of CISMEF enjoys great support from the central and local governments at all levels.
2. Serving SMEs
CISMEF has the ultimate goal of serving SMEs, by providing a platform for SMEs to present themselves and exchange with one another, encouraging SME to participate in the exhibitions, carry out business talks on trade, investment and financing, and provide themed trainings and policy consultations for SMEs.
3. Oriented towards China¡¯s market
CISMEF is mainly targeted at China¡¯s domestic market. The Chinese mainland's 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions all send delegations to CISMEF; Industries that engaged in the exhibition have pronounced features, thus facilitating the entry of foreign companies, capital and products; At the same time, CISMEF will bring together domestic buyers, officials from government procurement sector and investors, with the CISMEF as a platform, to create business opportunities for both suppliers and buyers.
4. International
CISMEF has always strived to make a presence internationally, and in 2008 it became a UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) Approved Event. The unique co-host country mechanism of CISMEF and the active participation on the part of SMEs from ASEM members and other countries and regions have enhanced CISMEF¡¯s international visibility day by day. The number of foreign exhibitors has been over 20% of all the participating enterprises.
5. Non-profit
CISMEF is a non-profit event. The Government has invested large amounts of money each year for the booth subsidies, promotion, and attracting exhibitors and participants. The organizers¡¯ launching of all exhibitions, conferences and events is not for profit-making.
