In April 28, Director-General Yang Yang attended the fifth session of the China-Spain Forum held in Chengdu, and delivered a speech entitled "China and Spain Join Hands to Achieve Mutual Benefit and Win-win Result" at the roundtable meeting. He also briefed Chinese and foreign guests who attended the forum on the joint holding by the Chinese Government and the Spanish Government of the 6th China International SME Fair (CISMEF), and discussed and exchanged views on issues related to the participation of Spanish companies in the 6th CISMEF with relevant Spanish authorities.
China-Spain Forum, agreed by heads of the two governments, is to promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation in politics, economy, culture, science, education, and public health etc. Since its inception in 2003, five sessions have been held in Beijing, Barcelona, Shanghai and Madrid respectively, greatly enhancing the comprehensive development of our bilateral relations, and the establishment of the strategic partnership between China and Spain. The forum has become an important platform of the bilateral exchanges and cooperation. This time, Spain has dispatched a delegation of more than 200 people to attend the forum, including Ms. Bibiana Aido, the Spanish minister of Equality, as well as representatives from all sectors in Spain.
