From February 28 to March 5, 2010, a 5-member CISMEF delegation visited Australia, co-host of CISMEF 2010. During the visit, 5 promotion briefings were held in Brisbane, Sidney, Adelaide and Melbourne, capitals of 4 major Australian states (Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria), attended by representatives of more than 400 Australian enterprises. Yang Yang, Director-General of the Bureau of CISMEF, also head of the delegation, with his speech titled Boundless Opportunities All at CISMEF, briefed the audience on the history, scale and features of CISMEF, highlights of CISMEF 2010, as well as the arrangements specially for Australian exhibitors an visitors. On the afternoon of March 10, commercial consuls of Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou, Ms. Wilarat Osathaworanan and Ms. Jitnipa Wangcherdchuwong, visited the Bureau of CISMEF. They were received by Director-General Yang Yang. Representing Thailand, they agreed to participate in CISMEF 2010 and take an exhibition space of 800 sq m. A ¡°Thai City¡± will be set up within the Fair to showcase the country¡¯s products and unique culture.

Director General Yang Yang met with Jeff Turner, Deputy Consul-General of Australia in Guangzhou, and three of his colleagues, when they visited the Bureau of CISMEF on the morning of the 4th of February. Mr. Yang and Mr. Turner exchanged updates on the preparations of CISMEF 2010 on both sides, in order to better promote the co-hosting of CISMEF 2010 by China and Australia.
