Fair Profile The 7th China International SME Fair (CISMEF) is co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, State Administration for Industry and Commerce, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, China Banking Regulatory Commission and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, PRC. In response to the nation’s concern over energy conservation and emission reduction, China (Guangzhou) International Energy-Saving and Environmental Protection Show (CIEES) will be staged as part of the 7th CISMEF, to be held on September 15-18, 2010. The Show will embrace exhibitors from Europe, Japan, Australia, the United Stated, Canada, among other countries, as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan of China. Under the strong support from the Chinese government, CIEES will invite professional from various fields, such as relevant government authorities, energy-saving and environmental protection technology institutions, high-power-consumption enterprises, engineering departments, environmental protection departments from various companies, power-saving products manufacturers, distributors, service providers, contractors, etc. Focus Event – China Australia Green Building and Eco-City Forum The Forum is a large-scaled event co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Ministry of Environmental Protection, PRC, together with Australian Trade Commission (Austrade). Relevant councils and designing companies from Australia, officials from the Chinese central and local governments, real estate developers will be invited to discuss on key cases of energy-saving and emission reduction. Government officials from NDRC and MOHURD will also introduce the approaches to China’s energy-saving and emission reduction objectives. More than 20 companies were still waiting for joining the fair after the registration deadline. According to the exhibitor survey, 40% felt satisfied with the buyers’ quality in this show, 27% felt very satisfied. The survey shows that exhibitors had succeeded in exploring potential clients from this Show. Mr.Yu,Ceo of the Rochester Mildland Corp. expected that the show be extended in scale, and let more exhibitors participate in the Show. Mr. Zhang from Hong Kong said, he felt content with the exhibitor services as well as the buyer quality. Mr. Liu of Di Mei International Group Environment Technology wished that this Show would make more people aware of the environmental protection industry. 85% of the exhibitors said that they would attend or consider attending the Show.
l Aimed for potential buyers In the first Show, the organizers sent invitations to environmental protection departments, related environment and energy associations and institutions, together with 289 government authorities and related state-owned companies. Meanwhile, we had also invited thousands of potential buyers of factories, electromechanics, trading companies in the Pearl River Delta cities.
l Government Officials paid high attention to the show Government officials visited the first China (Guangzhou) International Energy-Saving and Environmental-Protection Show. Mr. Wang Yang, Member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of CPC Guangdong Committee, was aware of the fair, and tried to know more details. He said, environmental protection will be the most critical job for the government, and he encouraged the Show to keep on every year. Mr. Li Yizhong, Minister of Industry and Information Technology of P.R. China, said environmental protection and energy-saving will be the main trend to the development in China. Mr. Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong Province and Mr. Tong Xing, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, also attended the Show.
